Ceija Stojka, dziecko pochodzenia romskiego więzione w obozach koncentracyjnych Auschwitz, Ravensbrück, Bergen-Belsen. Po wojnie mieszkała w Wiedniu, była poetką, pisarką, malarką, której prace były wystawiane w Europie, Japonii i Stanach Zjednoczonych. Swoje przeżycia obozowe opisała w trzech książkach autobiograficznych. Malować zaczęła w wieku 55 lat. W obrazach i rysunkach przedstawia dramat życia obozowego, ale też piękno życia taborów cygańskich: „Magics colours …profondes émotions.”

CEIJA STOJKA

Ceija Stojka, a child of Roma origin imprisoned in the concentration camps Auschwitz, Ravensbrück, Bergen-Belsen. After the war, she lived in Vienna, she was a poet, writer and painter whose works were exhibited in Europe, Japan and the United States. In 2018 her paintings were exhibited in Paris at La Maison Rouge (February-May 2018: Ceija Stojka à la Maison Rouge: https://www.youtube.com/watch? V = mLqooez4G9Q).
She described her camp experiences in three autobiographical books. She started painting at the age of 55. In the pictures and drawings he presents the drama of the camp life, but also the beauty of life of the Gypsy taboos: „Magics colors … profondes émotions.”
